Darshan Education Foundation is a Non Profit Organisation imparting Education to all sections of society and establishing the peaceful within through Meditation.
DEF was founded under the leadership and direction of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, spiritual head of Science of Spirituality, also known as Sawan Kirpal Ruhani Mission, in India.
The Foundation was named after the great poet-saint Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj, a staunch supporter of education, who inspired hundreds of thousands around the world to lead peaceful and spiritually-enriched lives through his teachings, poetry, books, and spiritual discourses.
History
Darshan Education Foundation was established in 1995 to address an unmet need to provide a more holistic education to students in their early years, guided by the philosophy that:
- Education is a basic human right and should be available to all students of all backgrounds.
- When we give our children a strong academic foundation and the tools and knowledge to become good and true human beings, they will go on to build a better tomorrow.
- When we educate generations of young hearts and minds to find the peace within themselves, we will be taking a giant leap toward world peace
